Won't you come up and look at my etchings?
OK, they're not really etchings, they are pencil portraits, and you can see them on my new website! I have been drawing portraits for over twenty years, and have finally put them on a website for all to see. Do stop by and let me know what you think!

The Web site looks very nice. Everything is spelled out so clearly and the site is easy to navigate. I mean that as high praise, too often on Web sites I can't figure out which end is up ;-)
I might have missed the answer to one question and that is: What kind of paper will the drawings be done on? I notice from the examples that you have used different sorts of paper.
Good question, John! The very first portrait that I drew, the one of my husband and infant son, was done on a paper with a heavy texture... can't remember the name of it. These days I use a smoother paper to make it easier to capture more details, though there is still some texture to it. I would offer the choice to my clients, though I prefer the smoother paper.
Thanks so much for the compliments and the feedback.
Nice blog :).
good information shared with all of us.
